TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF BUILDING AND OTHER MATERIALS SUITABLE
FOR USE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF DWELLING HOUSES DURING THE
PERIOD 24 MAY 2021 TO 30 MAY 2022
Tenders are invited from prospective Suppliers for the supply and delivery of building and other materials of good quality and readily available quantities for use in the construction of dwelling houses at various locations in Barbados. The supply and delivery will be for the period of 24 May 2021 to 30 May 2022.
Interested suppliers are required to submit their applications along with the following information/supporting documents.
- The successful tenderer may be required to provide a surety for the due performance of the contract by way of one of the methods below: –
- By way of a bank or accredited insurance company whose liability shall not be less than 10% of the contract price. The cost of obtaining such a surety shall be the responsibility of the Supplier who need not specifically make arrangements for sureties unless and until their tender has been accepted; and
- By way of satisfactory personal sureties.
- Applicants should be aware that the Labour Clauses (Public Contracts) Act, Cap. 349 (the “Act”), will apply to any contract made in respect to the Tender. Full details of the conditions of the Act may be obtained from the Chief Labour Officer, 2nd Floor East Warrens Complex, Warrens, and St. Michael. Applicants should submit the certificate required by paragraph 3 of the Schedule to the Act with their application.
- ALL CORPORATE TENDERERS must include with their tender a copy of the Company’s Certificate of Incorporation as evidence of the fact that the company is an existing registered company as at the date of tender. ALL TENDERS having a Business name only must include with their tender a copy of the Business Name Certificate.
- Evidence of good standing with National Insurance Office and Barbados Revenue Authority.
- No tender will be considered unless it complies with the conditions set out in this notice.

Completed Tenders can be submitted by email or by hand.
- If by email: It must be signed and emailed with the subject line “Tender for the supply and delivery of building and other material suitable for use in the construction of dwelling houses during the period 24 May 2021 to 30 May 2022” to rft@hopebarbados.com.
- If by hand: One hard copy of the documents duly signed should be placed in the specially designated tender box located at the offices of Home Ownership Providing Energy Inc., Worthing Corporate Centre, Worthing BB15008, Christ Church, Barbados. The sealed envelope should be marked “Tender for the supply and delivery of building and other material suitable for use in the construction of dwelling houses during the period 24 May 2021 to 30 May 2022”.
The Closing Date for the submission of tenders sent either by email or by hand is Friday 7 May 2021 at 5.00 p.m. Barbados time.
False, materially inaccurate/incomplete, and late applications will not be considered.
