Assistant Development Director

Home Ownership Providing Energy Inc. a company 100% owned by the government, is seeking an Assistant Development Director to help with the delivery of affordable homes throughout Barbados.

You will be responsible for assisting with developing concepts, feasibility analysis, budgeting and resource development, pre-construction activities to get to closing, communications with the development team who oversee construction, and supporting the close out of projects.

Essential Duties Include Assisting with:

• Provision of Project Management support to advance new housing projects and initiatives.
• Project Feasibility Analysis and Due Diligence exercises.
• Selection and Appointment of Design and Specialist Consultants.
• Establish and Control Budgets
• Liaising with all Project Stakeholders

Skills and Experience

• Highly organized individual with a minimum of three years experience in housing and community development, including project management.
• Exceptional analytic and writing skills.
• Facility with budgeting and knowledge of government funding programs
• Proven experience working with time sensitive material and the ability to constantly establish priorities and meet multiple deadlines.
• Entrepreneurial sensibility and strong capacity to set goals.
• Excellent Interpersonal skills.
• High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel
