TENDER NOTICE
TENDER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROADWAYS AND ASSOCIATED DRAINAGE AT COLLETON, ST. LUCY, BARBADOS

Tenders are invited for the construction of roadways and associated drainage to a residential development of  seventy-seven (77) lots at Colleton, St. Lucy; the works involve the construction of carriageways, kerbs and suck-wells.

  1. Tenders are invited for the construction of roadways and associated drainage to a residential development at Colleton, St. Lucy, Barbados.
  2. The works involve the construction of a carriageway; concrete works including kerbs and slippers; construction of suck-wells and ancillary drainage.
  3. Tenders must state the scheduled duration of the works.
  4. Completed tenders, on the appropriate Tender Form, can be submitted by email or by hand.
    1. If by email: It must be signed and emailed in pdf format with the subject line “Tender for the construction of roadways and associated drainage at Colleton, St. Lucy, Barbados” to rft@hopebarbados.com.
    2. If by hand: One hard copy of the documents duly signed should be submitted in sealed envelopes marked “Tender for the construction of roadways and associated drainage at Colleton, St. Lucy, Barbados”. The envelope must be placed in the specially designated tender/drop box located at the offices of Home Ownership Providing Energy Inc., Worthing Corporate Centre, Worthing BB15008, Christ Church, Barbados.
  5. The Closing Date for the submission of tenders sent either by email or by hand is Friday July 22, 2022, at 4.00 p.m. Barbados time.
  6. Successful tenderers may be required to provide a surety for the due performance of the contract by way of one of the methods below: –
    1. By way of a bank or accredited insurance company whose liability shall not be less than 10% of the contract price. The cost of obtaining such a surety shall be the responsibility of the Contractor who need not specifically make arrangements for sureties unless and until their tender has been accepted; and
    2. By way of satisfactory personal sureties.
  7. Tenderers should be aware that the Labour Clauses (Public Contracts) Act, Cap. 349 (the “Act”) shall in so far as is applicable to this Tender, will apply to any contract made in respect to the Tender. Full details of the conditions of the Act may be obtained from the Chief Labour Officer, 2nd Floor East Warrens Complex, Warrens, and St. Michael. Applicants should submit the certificate required by paragraph 3 of the Schedule to the Act with their Tender.
  8. ALL CORPORATE TENDERERS must include with their tender a copy of the Company’s Certificate of Incorporation as evidence of the fact that the company is an existing registered company as at the date of tender. ALL TENDERS having a Business name must include with their tender a copy of the Business Name Certificate.  Failure to provide the Certificate of Incorporation or a Business Name Certificate will render the tender void.
  9. Evidence of good standing with National Insurance Office and Barbados Revenue Authority.
  10. No tender will be considered unless it complies with the conditions set out in this notice.
  11. Home Ownership Providing Energy Inc. does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
